The contemporary world imposes rules, standards and behaviors on us that we must follow if we want to be accepted in dominant groups. To do this, they have created a world of their own within specific groups on social media to strengthen their eating disorders, which they see as a lifestyle rather than a serious psychological problem. For Anas and Mias, being as light as a butterfly and being able to get lots of “likes” on their photos is worth any sacrifice. And this book, which is the result of a scientific study, aims to show how far young women are willing to go in search of an ideal body in order to feel accepted by society and by themselves.
