FROM THE LAST LONDON EDITION. WITH THE LAST CORRECTIONS OF THE AUTHOR; AND WITH NOTES AND ADDITIONS BY EDWARD CHRISTIAN, ESQUIRE, CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE ISLE OF ELY, AND THE DOWNING PROFESSOR OF THE LAWS OF ENGLAND IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE. Remnant stub of missing text leaf pages 196[a]-196[b] with a laser printed facsimile of each page now laid-in. Hardcover: H 18.75cm x L 11.5cm. Contemporary full calf leather; both boards only tenuously attached with long splits at joints; boards well scuffed and edge-worn; spine ends chipped and worn even with text block's top and bottom edges; spine's surface leather abraded; spine retains its gilt lettered red title label; "1" stamped in black in spine's center compartment. Antiquarian ink ownership inscription "John H. Lewis | atto. at Law" on front pastedown; toning/foxing throughout with some soiling, stains; some creased/curled corners.
