Dark blue leather lightly rubbed; bright gilt stamping to front board and spine with latter also decorated with four slightly raised bands (similar to the decorative leather bindings issued by Easton Press and Franklin Mint). All edges gilt. Faux marbling to endpapers. Pages are bright and clean. Binding remains fairly crisp. A fine copy. Text reproduced in facsimile from the original publications and hence the non-sequential pagination. Text features the following five essays by Thomas Paine: "Common Sense: Addressed To The Inhabitants Of America" (1776); "Rights Of Man. Being An Answer To Mr. Burke's Attack On The French Revolution. Part I" (1791); "Rights Of Man. Combining Principles And Practice. Part II" (1792); "Letter, To Mr. Secretary Dundas" (1792); and "Address To The Addressers, On The Late Proclamation" (1793). The Library of American Freedoms was sponsored and marketed by the National Rifle Association and the book features an Introduction authored by the NRA's Chief Executive Officer Wayne LaPierre in addition to having LaPierre's gilt stamped facsimile signature upon the front board.…
