The methods and equipment technology employed in foundation and ground engineering have been improved rapidly during the recent years. The application of the modern complex technologies demands specialized knowledge and practical experience. It has become difficult for users and equipment manufacturers to maintain an overview of the state-of-the-art. This compendium provides a comprehensive overview of the processes and the ranges of application, especially going into the choice of equipment. In detail the technological methods and their ranges of application as function of soil, combined with the appropriate equipment are listed with attention on the economically and technically optimized choice. This compendium is the result of intensive collaboration between engineers, technicians, machine manufacturers and users, thus providing a device for planning, design and execution of ground constructions.
