A propos de cet article

Interior title: "The :Panorama of Cunard History. Over a Century in the Service of the Transatlantic Traveler." Oblong 8vo. (21 cm.) unpaged [36p. including wrappers]. Prosuely illusrated with 23 black and white captioned photos and several black and white drawing, including silhouettes of the different Cunard ships over the years. Photos and drawings are interspersed with narrative history about the Cunard Line. Just an amazing collection of photos documenting the variety and extent of the Cunard floating inventory. [The] maiden voyage departure [of Britannia, the first Cunard liner] from Liverpool on July 4th, 1840, setting in motion the first regular Atlantic steamship line, sprang from the foresight of Samuel Cunard, merchant and shipowner of Halifax, Nova Scotia." [from the first page of narrative].…
