The history of St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette, Michigan from 1853 to 2024. The book begins with a description of a log cabin in which Mass was held before the building of the city's first Catholic Church in 1857 and recounts the building of the first Cathedral dedicated to St. Peter the Apostle by Venerable Bishop Frederic Baraga in 1866. Provides information about the 1879 Cathedral fire and details the construction of the present-day Cathedral, rebuilt after a fire damaged the building in 1935. Includes renovations that took place in 2024.
