Description :

Very Good+ in Wraps: shows indications of very careful use: very light wear to the extremities; mild rubbing to wrapper covers; a single crease at the backstrip; the pages have tanned a bit, due to aging; the binding remains square and secure; text clean. The binding glue is becoming very slightly brittle, but at this point is holding up well. Nevertheless, the binding glue would not probably hold up under careless useage. On the other hand, we suspect this to be true of all the copies of this title published in the seventies and perhaps the eighties as well. With all this in mind the book remains close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 329pp. First Ed Thus, Third Printing. Trade Paperback. If you want to learn to be a better chess player,I think you'll find his approach both interesting and different. He uses positions from actual games to work out problems and explain why certain moves are made, giving you a kind of hands on experience that makes the learning fun and informative. The author is somewhat of a game fanatic, or I should say "old school" game fanatic where you sat across from a real person or people and watched them squirm if you made a good play or smile if you didn't. He has worked with Bobby Fisher back in the 1960's collaborating on a book some of you might know called "Bobby Fisher Teaches Chess". The most amazing things the author did was when he played 10 different people blindfolded and won each game. He played in exhibitions where he would play 50 to 100 people at a time, and rarely did he lose. Enjoy this book, it's a good one, and it will help your game. N° de réf. du libraire 42202
