My hope is that sharing my journey will help you in making the difficult decisions regarding your treatment options. In this book I share a very personal journey that led me to discover the root cause of disease, and I firmly believe, based on my own experience, that all dis-ease is an opportunity to open up our hearts to the truth of our being. Cancer for me was a huge wake-up call in my journey to transform my life and live my dreams. As you know, it is not easy at times to understand why we become afflicted with a life-threatening illness. Choosing Life takes you on a journey of discovery, lets you tag along on my quest to find ways to love myself, love the Big C cells in my body and stimulate the immune system—a path that would ultimately lead me to a vibrantly healthy state. Biography for Hazel Chandler My life journey has led me on many paths in life. Unlike my father who worked the same job for years, I was led in many directions. For the last 50 years of my adult life I have had many adventures and played many roles in government, private for profit and non-profit organizations. My broad based management experience includes health care, social services, mental health, early childhood education, primary education, government, regulatory environment, construction, development, retail business, small business ownership, international business, community planning, investments and financial management. My life dedicated to service has led me to work with people of all ages, from every walk of life, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Through all of the twists and turns of life I had extensive opportunities to look at the systems that support our life in America and realized that most were not working to enhance life. Through the years I have studied extensively preventative and alternative health care, education, environmental issues, self-development, mind body spirit healing and nutrition. Through all of these experiences I had many opportunities to work with Federal, State and Local Governments. My Bachelor’s Degree and Graduate work is in Early Childhood Development from San Diego State University, with minors in education, sociology and psychology. In the early 80s. After marriage and children I went on to receive a Master’s degree in Management from University of Phoenix. In June of 2012 I completed Arizona State University program and obtained the Certified Public Manager Certification.
