À propos de l'auteur: As a survivor of three primary cancers (breast cancer in both breasts and ocular melanoma) and multiple recurrences, Jan has experienced cancer as a chronic disease since 1989. Her background as co-director of the Center for Health Awareness taught her that there is more to healing than chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Wanting to help cancer patients/survivors focus on healing the whole person instead of just curing the body, she created the Cancer as a Turning Point, From Surviving To Thriving(TM) conference. She is the founder and director of Healing Journeys, a non-profit formed to produce this conference, which was offered nation-wide free-of-charge to over 25,000 participants for 25 years. Jan continues to thrive in spite of her cancer metastasizing to her lungs in 2011.
