À propos des auteurs: Corresponding Editor William Nuttall CPhys FInstP is Professor of Energy Policy and Transformation (part-time) at the University of Bristol, UK. He is also a Non-Resident Fellow of the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines, USA and a Fellow (honorary) of Cambridge Judge Business School. He is an Affiliated Lecturer in Cambridge University Engineering Department and a Fellow of Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD in Physics (1993) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, where he was a Fulbright scholar (1987–1988).

Editor Satoshi Konishi is CEO and Chief Fusioneer of Kyoto Fusioneering Ltd., founded in 2019. He also is a Chairman of the Japan Fusion Energy Council. He was previously a Professor at Kyoto University, and he chaired the ITER Council Test Blanket Module Program Committee for 4 years. He earned his PhD from the University of Tokyo.

Editor Shutaro Takeda is an Associate Professor at Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD), where he heads [in]visible future lab, a transdisciplinary lab that explores the intersection of social change, technology, and design. He is also a co-founder and Chief Strategist of Kyoto Fusioneering, Japan's first fusion energy startup. He holds a PhD in fusion engineering from Kyoto University and a MLA in sustainability from Harvard University. He was awarded multiple international awards, including the Institute of Physics (IOP) Early Career Prize and the AEE International Young Energy Professional of the Year Award.

David Webbe-Wood received his PhD from the Open University in 2024. Prior to that he worked for UK Civil Service in a number of scientific and engineering roles. He has participated in the IAEA EMRAS and BIOMOVS biosphere modelling programmes and the Anglo-Indian eMEANNS project for which he is a co-author of the forthcoming book Perspectives on Engineering Uncertainty (Springer, 2025). He is a member of the Society for Radiological Protection and is a trustees of the Society's Benevolent Fund.
