Two volume set in slipcase with magnifying glass (not original). Each page in this set contains four pages of the original OED, reduced in size. Book I has 208 pages, contains A-O, has a few scuffs to covers, head and tail of spine and lower corners bumped, top edge somewhat soiled near spine, lower corner first 60 pages creased. Volume II has 2068 pages, contains P-Z plus Supplement and Bibliography, scuffs, head and tail of spine lightly bumped, lower corner pages 2077-2101 creased, two tiny marks on first page. Slipcass has scuffs - some white scuffs--, bumps, rubs on sides, top and lower edge. Open edge has wear, worn through to boards in places, but slipcase intact except for plastic removal strips - one missing, one extant but too short to help. Drawer with metal knob present, cut-out for magnifying glass. There is a Bausch & Lomb rectangular glass present, but its box is larger than the cut-out, so it may or may not be original glass.
