The goal of periodontal therapy is to provide natural dentition and periodontium with proper maintenance for comfort, esthetics, and function. Periodontal treatment either a non-surgical or surgical has its pros and cons. To achieve a goal and consistently predictable outcome, one need to minimize possible risk factors. Factor includes errors in patient selection, incomplete diagnostic procedures, treatment difficulties and obstacles, inadequate healing or the absence of maintenance therapy.
