Many Christians enter a "dark night" at some point during their lives, a period when they feel abandoned by God and experience a dryness in their spiritual lives. Daniel P. Daniel P. Schrock understands the challenges and conundrums of church leadership. He has been a pastor for 19 years, with an additional seven years of leadership experience in church-related organizations. Since 1996 he has offered spiritual direction to a wide range of people, but more recently he specializes in working with church leaders, including pastors, chaplains, teachers, conference ministers, teachers, presidents, vice-presidents, and CEOs. Schrock holds a Doctor of Ministry degree (with an emphasis in Christian Spirituality) from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. He is a member of the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality and of Spiritual Directors International. In addition to offering spiritual direction, he works part-time as a pastor at Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship in Goshen, Indiana. He operates Dan Schrock Spiritual Direction Inc., which offers spiritual direction for church leaders.
