Death waits at a haunted castle for a little boy, and those who would try to save him...
Five days. That is all the time there is to save nine-year-old Traer McLean from being the next victim of a curse over two hundred fifty years old. Now two of those days are gone, leaving Emma King and her niece, Alyaan, both of whom are able to see and speak to ghosts, to jet to Scotland and Castle Moan (pronounced Moon) to help. Ray Delbert, now a police officer but once an Army Ranger, and Joshua Blake, an American cousin to the McLean family, joins them.
The curse is specific. If on the fifth day after the ancient parchment appears compelling the current generation to learn the answer to Angus McLean’s betrayal...if the curse’s riddle has not been resolved by then, the firstborn son pays the price with his life in a terrifying ritual that is meted out by a hound from hell.
Trying to help, but being more a hindrance, is a unit of the British military sent to Castle Moan. Major Trevor is a hardened skeptic where the curse is concerned. There are also four British paranormal investigators at the castle. When one of the investigators is murdered, Emma and her team find themselves also hunted by the hellhound that is controlled by someone at the castle.
Emma and Alyaan must find a way to get the ghosts of Castle Moan to help them prove Angus’ innocence, but much of Aly’s past is surrounded in secrecy. If she and her aunt are to find the answers to the accusations spoken of in the ancient riddle, then long-guarded secrets surrounding Aly might have to be revealed.
Finally, if Emma can’t prove the charges against Angus McLean were false, then not only the boy will be killed by the Hellhound, but she, Alyaan, Delbert and Blake will face the same horrific fate.

À propos de l’auteur
Christina Mutch knew she wanted to be a writer from around the age of eight. By the time she entered California State University at Humboldt, in Arcata, CA, she knew she had to earn a living until that dream could become reality.
She decided the path of teaching would be a good choice. So after graduating with degrees in both English and journalism, Christina went to work for the Los Angeles Unified School District and taught junior high ‘at-risk youth’ for seventeen years. She kept writing, but nothing seemed to fit what publishers were looking for.
By 1993, she moved to Utah and began working for the Provo School District, again teaching at-risk teens as well as adults working to earn a high school diploma or GED.
Even so, Christina’s determination to publish a book never wavered. It was through her travels over the years to England, Ireland and Scotland as well as through the South and Southwest sections of the United States that pointed her in the direction of writing ghost mysteries. She found herself staying in castles and houses that turned out to be haunted. Her fascination turned into travels where finding haunted locations to investigate and stay became a priority. The basis for her Emma & Aly ghost mysteries comes from personal experiences as well as research into the paranormal.
Christina lives with her three cats, Jasmine, Pookie and Ming and continues to work as a teacher in Provo, UT.
