A propos de cet article

5-11/16" x 8-1/2", iv + 100pp. Printed on acidic paper and bound in top stapled signatures in uncoated printed card stock cover. Age discoloration / fading, edge wear, shelf wear to cover. A previous owner's name is written in ink on the top right of the cover, and a note lower down points to discussion of the Quebec Padlock Act. As well, a previous owner has carefully written out a summary table of contents on the (blank) half title page, as none is provided in the book. The binding remains square and tight. Pages are gently age toned but except as noted, clean and unmarked.

Description de la boutique

Canada's oldest independent bookstore, the People's Co-operative Bookstore Association was formed in 1945 by a broad coalition of Vancouver's progressive movements, from trade unionists and Marxists to social democrats and Christian social justice activists. Owned and operated by its member-shareholders, it is a registered co-op operating under the Co-operative Associations Act of British Columbia. Anyone can join. Since 1983, the People's Co-op Bookstore has been located at 1391 Commercial, in the heart of Commercial Drive. Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week, the People's Co-op offers a selection of 20,000 new and used books at its brick and mortar location, with a selection of specialized and uncommon books listed on our Abebooks account.
