This is the biography of a great artist: a revolutionist who fought on barricades and hosted the exiled Trotsky; the storm centre of the famous 'battle' which raged around the murals in Rockefeller Center; a participant in numerous gun fights; once an active Cubist in the pre-war Paris of Picasso, Braque and Modigliani; spectacular in appearance because of his size and dress; married four times. His murals cover miles of walls, his conversation and character remembered vividly in Mexico, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Moscow and New York. Written by Rivera's friend of fifteen years.
