Somewhere near the birth of time the already aeons-old dragon civilization constructed, with the help of its gods, a sacred place: Dragonhenge. The passage of countless millennia has erased all traces of this hallowed island but now, through techniques of hypnotic regression, artist Bob Eggleton and writer John Grant have been able to reconstruct much of its story, and thereby of the mythology of the dragon civilization as a whole.
À propos de l'auteur: Bob Eggleton is among the leading fantasy and science fiction artists of our age and is especially well known for his dragon paintings. He is a multiple winner of both the Hugo (seven times to date) and the Chesley awards, achieving the almost unprecedented feat in 2001 of winning both the Best Professional Artist and being nominated in the Best Related Book category of the Hugo awards. He has also worked on motion picture conceptual design, contributing to the Academy Award-nominated animated Paramount Pictures film, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. Previous books are Greetings From Earth, Alien Horizons, and The Book of Sea Monsters. John Grant is the author of Encyclopedia of Walt Disney's Animated Characters. Technical Editor of the Clute/Nicholls' Encyclopedia of Science Fiction (for which he shared a rare BSFA Special Award), co-editor with John Clute of The Encyclopedia of Fantasy and co-author with Ron Tiner of The Encyclopedia of Fantasy and Science Fiction Art Techniques. He is also a winner of a Hugo and World Fantasy Award
