Etat : Collectible. 2nd Edition. VG+. Pocket sized thick paperboards, leather spine. An early American standardization of grammar rules. This is a rare publishing house, Perkins, Marvin & Co., circa 1830-1841 having printing facilities in Boston and New York City . Interestingly, a small-stencilled personal-stamped name on ffep is Mehetable Perkins, indicating this was a copy owned by a member of the publishing family. There are historical records referencing this woman as a Boston area resident at that time. Perkins Marvin Co did religious and academic publications with academic examples being the scarcer variety - most are currently housed in university and musuem libraries. No examples as old as this are currently available for acquisition/conservation in regard to American general education. [B23]. N° de réf. du vendeur 010919
