Shelley T. Alexander is Project Coordinator and Research Fellow for Early Childhood at The Center for Jewish and Democratic Education, University of Haifa, Israel, and was Director of Early Childhood Services at the Jewish Federation of the Greater East Bay, USA.

Hanan Alexander is Professor of Philosophy of Education at the University of Haifa, Israel. He has been Visiting Professor and Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge and the University of California, Berkeley and his books include Reclaiming Goodness: Education and the Spiritual Quest, which won the National Jewish Book Award in 2001.
