A propos de cet article

Adam, George. Earthquakes. An Astronomical Question. San Francisco: C. A. Murdock & Co., Printers, 1906. First edition. 8vo, 15 (1) pp, saddle-stapled wraps. Illustrated with drawings and diagrams. A rare and unusual work searching for astronomical and extraterrestrial causes of earthquakes, published in San Francisco in the year of the Great San Francisco earthquake. Adam posits that, along with the time of day, the earthquake may have been caused by metallic veins in the Sierras. OCLC locates only 5 holdings. Small faint rubberstamp to cover denoting this copy as a duplicate from Stanford Library, else a clean, very good or better example showing dogearing to a couple of pages and light wear to wraps.
