Here substantial light has been thrown not only on the theoretical framework of energy security concept, but also conflict and cooperation between Russia and Central Asia and other major powers in the sphere of energy. It gives a special focus on the relevance of energy security in 21st Century from the perspective of Russia, Central Asia and the world after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. The book concludes with a positive note highlighting on the vision of Russia and Central Asia’s energy security future in Eurasian region and how Russia and Central Asian states are playing key role in the global energy security sphere and gradually emerging as "Energy Super Powers" in the coming decades. About The Author: Dr. Amarendra Mishra is a First Class Post Graduate in Political Science. He did his M. Phil and Ph.D in International Studies with specialization in Russian and Central Asian Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He topped in the Odisha State Fellowship test conducted by JNU and was awarded fellowship in the academic year 1989-90. He also cleared NET in Political Science conducted by the UGC. He worked in an American research project with Prof. Anand Mohan, former Professor in the City University, New York, USA. Dr. Mishra, who is extremely articulate and erudite, has participated and presented research papers in national and international conferences and contributed several articles to the reputed research journals. He is an independent researcher and at present he is working as Reader in Political Science, Talcher Autonomous College, (Utkal University), Odisha, India. Dr. Abhimanyu Behera (M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D) is a First Class First Post Graduate in Political Science. He did his M.Phil and Ph.D in International Studies with specialization in Russia and Central Asian Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He also cleared NET conducted by the University Grant Commission (UGC). He delivered lectures in KIMEP University and Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. He was awarded "Doctoral Research Fellowship" by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. He worked as an examiner in evaluating an M.Phil. Dissertation submitted to JNU, New Delhi. Dr. Behera has participated and presented research papers in national and international conferences. He has published a number of articles in national and international journals of high repute along with chapters in edited volumes. He is an independent researcher and his research interests are in the areas of foreign policy, energy security and geopolitics of Russia and Central Asia. Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1Kgm. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. We give extra discount for the bulk purchase orders. Our prices includes shipping charges. The customer do not have to pay any extra charges at the time of delivery but if your Country charges VAT and customs that has to be born by the customer.
