5.0 out of 5 stars With Gratitude to the Author for Writing this Book , June 13, 2010 By A reader from Chicago (Chicago) This earlier edition Amazon review is from: How to Forgive When You Can't: The Breakthrough Guide to Free Your Heart & Mind -First edition ISBN 978-0982430705 (Perfect Paperback) It is hard to find a good book on the topic of forgiveness that provides both time-tested advice and practical steps to take to make forgiveness an ongoing part of your life. For anyone who has tried to forgive another, you already know that this is a very difficult path to walk and thing to do. But the author shares many inspiring stories and anecdotes as well as provides many access points for readers to find meaning in forgiving. According to George Herbert (1593-1633): He that cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which he must pass himself; for every man has need to be forgiven. Thanks to the author for writing this book that is abundant with dozens of essential strategies from forgiveness techniques and blocks to forgiving to aids to empower yourself and how to escape cycles of guilt and victimhood. I will keep this book in my library to refer to again and again.…

[PREFACE:] ...my eyes were greatly improved, but their condition was still far from satisfactory. I finally concluded to take a fast of one week in order to cleanse thoroughly my physical organism. This benefited my eyes tremendously. Thereafter I began to experiment with various eye exercises together with the eye bath, massage, etc., and my eyes soon acquired their former vigor.
In recent years I have been informed on numerous occasions that the eyes naturally begin to deteriorate after forty years of age, and that total blindness might result if I did not assist them with glasses. About ten years ago (I am now 55)...one of my patients, an oculist, was very emphatic in his warnings as to the danger I was running by not wearing glasses, and he finally induced me to promise him that I would try a pair if he sent them to me after he returned home. The glasses arrived in due time, but after wearing them for about ten minutes my eyes pained me so severely that I had to discard them. I have refrained from adopting the "eye crutch" up to the present time, and I hope that for many years to come I shall be able to avoid them. As a result of the natural methods of treatment... my eyes are excellent and I work strenuously with both brain and eyes regularly six days per week, and long, tedious days at that....[END OF EXCERPT]
THE AGELESS ADEPT™ MISSION:
"Give me something simple I can do starting today!"
I hear it from friends, family and strangers: "I want to lose weight!" I want to clear up my complexion!" "I want to wake up with a boost of energy!" "I want to keep my eyesight and make it stronger!" "I want to "prevent / repair/ reverse" my "menopause symptoms / liver / gray hairs!" and the ever popular: "Give me something simple I can do starting today!"
It's not the calendar, it's the conditions
People typically associate these symptoms with aging. The truth: it's not the calendar, but the cumulative effects of specific, sustained conditions brought about by habits of consumption and behavior. That's why some people "age" quicker than others--they've simply packed more of those habits into fewer years.
Two wrongs simply make you sicker
Those symptoms are your body's reactions to eating fake food with artificial ingredients, pesticides, hormones, steroids, antibiotics, taking pharmaceuticals, as well as other environmental factors. While some of the habits and behavior may be challenging to break, they are, in fact, under your control. If the causes are controllable, that means the effects are not inevitable and may even be reversible. However, real cure cannot be brought about by taking more drugs and pharmaceuticals. How could it???? You cannot cure a condition with the same type of substances and habits that caused it. In this case, two wrongs will simply make you sicker.
The Solution
The Ageless Adept's natural protocols, practices and products are based on a philosophy that holds:
1. Nature is foolproof
2. The body is coded to heal
3. There is only one illness
4. There is a simple formula for vitality
5. A clean cell never dies
6. Sunlight, Water, Earth, Air & Time are the only bases of real cure
7. You are your own authority
The goals are
▪ to empower you to become your own authority when it comes to health
▪ to simplify decision-making when it comes to the food, products and practices in your pursuit of perfect health, long life and the fountain of youth!

À propos de l’auteur
Macfadden popularized the practice of fasting that previously had been associated with illnesses such as anorexia nervosa. He felt strongly that fasting was one of the surest ways to physical health. Many of his subjects would fast for a week in order to rejuvenate their body. He claimed that "a person could exercise unqualified control over virtually all types of disease while revealing a degree of strength and stamina such as would put others to shame" through fasting. He saw fasting as an instrument with which to prove a man's superiority over other men.
