Q – What’s special about the Trust series?
A – I deliver thriller tropes in a differentiated way. Mystery and suspense drama comes from character’s tackling life-changing dilemmas, family obligations and affairs of the heart. Action and adventure combine with deep character development and psychological intrigue. Historical, medical, and scientific foundations are realistic, yet the yarns stretch the understanding of possibilities. Story finales resolve action heavy and emotional dilemmas, so expect romance, the pull of family obligations and strong women to drive the stories.
Q - Who has influenced you?
A - As a film and book junkie, influences are many. Bram Stoker, Philip K Dick, Dean Koontz, Michael Crichton, and A.G. Riddle at the thriller genre busting end of the spectrum to Alistair MacLean, Frederick Forsyth, and Ken Follett at the more traditional end. The latter’s injection of social, historical, medical, technological, and scientific insight into story telling inspires. Between these are John Marrs, Tim Tigner, Colleen Hoover, Elin Hilderbrand, and Daniel Silva, who show how psychological intrigue, family and relationships add depth to mystery drama stories.
