What happens when one friend finds all the Easter eggs… and another finds none?
Spring has arrived at the Cozy Nook, and the friends are excited for the Great Easter Egg Hunt.
Bright eggs are hidden in the grass.
Baskets are ready.
Everyone is eager to begin.
But when the hunt starts, Hop zooms across the meadow faster than anyone else.
Egg after egg drops into his basket.
Meanwhile, Milo searches and searches… and finds none.
Soon Hop has ten eggs.
Milo has an empty basket.
His bright yellow skin fades to a sad grey, and he sits quietly in the grass, feeling left out.
The Cozy Nook doesn’t feel very cozy when a friend feels forgotten.
Luckily, Slow-Mo has a gentle idea — The Great Egg Pool.
“We hunt fast,” he explains softly,
“but we share slow.”
Together the friends place all their eggs into a colorful community pile and divide them fairly so everyone receives the same cheerful Rainbow Mix.
Soon the meadow fills with laughter again.
Because the sweetest treats aren’t the eggs we collect…
They’re the ones we share together.
