Over half a million copies sold! This rich collection of family poems, curated by bestselling editor and author Caroline Kennedy, is the perfect introduction to poetry for young readers.

Inspired to create a poetry anthology for families after her national bestseller The Best Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Caroline Kennedy set out to create a collection of her family's favorite poems. With more than one hundred poems, from five continents, illuminated with sumptuous watercolors by Jon J Muth, Ms. Kennedy organizes her selections into sections that reflect a child's world and frames each section with an introduction in her own words.

Her work in the New York City public schools has made Caroline Kennedy keenly aware of how great a role poetry can play in the minds and hearts of young readers. A Family of Poems offers children and families a single beautiful volume that will spark a love of language and verse that will last a lifetime.

Caroline Kennedy is the author and editor of twelve New York Times bestselling books on American history, politics and poetry. She is also an attorney and diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Japan from 2013 to 2017, and the only surviving child of President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. A graduate of Harvard University and Columbia Law School, Kennedy is active in the efforts to improve New York City public schools and serves as President of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation.
