This volume includes 12 articles dealing with the taxonomy and biogeography of different Palaearctic Noctuoidea genera. These articles contain the descriptions of altogether 27 new species and 7 new subspecies, designations of two neotypes and more than a dozen of lectotypes, and the establishment of several new statuses and new combinations. The speciality of this volume is the high proportion of the novelties found in Europe including, for instance, some of the new results of the Fauna Ibérica: Noctuoidea project and the revisions of such enigmatic genera as Janthinea, Stemmaphora, Isochlora and Leiometopon.
