Biographie de l'auteur: Jay Schofield, a retired teacher and state Hall of Fame basketball coach lives with his wife, Pat, on the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard just seven miles off the MA coast. Before tackling a book the scope of Our Final Salute, Jay wrote two books, one on coaching titled, "How To Coach Basketball's 2-2-1 Penetration Offense" and second on metal detecting named, "Beach Detecting in Surf and Sand". He has also written private family memoirs for the past fifteen years. Privileged to capture other people's memoirs, he even travels "off-island" to help people write their stories. Jay feels strongly feels if we value history we must remove the memories from our minds and save them in print. Both family and American history must be preserved in light of our wasteful computer-driven "Delete" world. Each day much precious history vanishes with that simple key stroke. The author's main love remains his wife to whom he credits, along with his God, whatever successes they've enjoyed in their 47 years of marriage.
