This book describes some of the basic principles of surgical technique which the aspiring surgeon can learn to add finesse to his craft. In discussing some of the fallacies that have developed over the years, George Watts draws upon his experience during his long career in general surgery to show that although surgery and the science around it has evolved enormously, some things never change. Although this book is intended to educate principally surgeons in training, the thoughts and descriptions are relevant to all those in the profession, or indeed to the patients they serve.
