Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book offers a vivid account of the author's first year as the Anglican Bishop of Montreal in Canada. Consecrated in 1869, the Bishop arrived in Quebec before traveling to Montreal, where he was warmly welcomed. With his wife, he spent the first few days meeting ecclesiastical and lay leaders, and the author was inducted into the city's Cathedral the following Sunday. The book details his initial impressions of Montreal, including its beautiful streets, lively atmosphere, and architectural landmarks. The account describes the author's travels around his diocese, including Conrmation ceremonies and missionary work. He emphasizes the need for additional clergy and funding to support the Church's work in the region. The book also highlights the author's personal experiences and insights, such as his struggle with feeling unwell during a tour and the challenges of adjusting to the harsh Canadian winter. The author's dedication and love for his work shine through in this engaging narrative. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
