Writing in genres that vary from her chick-lit novel, Alternate Beauty, to her dog how-to book, Dog Parenting, to her self-help book, Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise, to ghostwritten memoirs to ghostwritten YA, horror, mystery, and mainstream fiction projects, Andrea still manages to find time to watch the rain and obsess over her dog and her knitting, art, and music projects. Coryn MacPherson is a comic book writer and illustrator from the South Shore of Massachusetts. Having graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2022 with a degree in Sequential Art, she loves all forms of art and is always eager to explore both written and visual narratives. Since 2021, she has been working with Scholastic as an illustrator for the New York Times bestselling Five Nights at Freddy’s graphic novels, having worked on eight books for the franchise. She has also worked extensively with the New England Anime Society, providing promotional artwork for Boston’s annual anime convention. Her first publication was a short essay in Chicken Soup for the Soul’s 2020 book Be You.
In her spare time, she can be found reading (lots of rom-coms and fantasy novels), playing video games (the Nancy Drew series is her favorite), and attempting to trick her cats into sitting with her while she writes and draws. On the rare occasion that she ventures outside, she enjoys wandering the aisles of comic shops and bookstores, getting lost in museums, and taking pictures around Boston with her camera.
