She established the Certificate of Professional Development i n Distance Education and in 2003 was invited into the USDLA Hall of Fame. She co ntinues to speak extensively on distance education issues.Terry Gibson is profes sor emeritus of the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin.
