Food Systems and Biodiversity in the Context of Environmental and Climate Risks (Hardcover)

Part of the CERES publication series, this book explores the critical nexus between food systems, biodiversity, and climate resilience. Through a multi-regional analysis, it examines how environmental and climate changes--driven by unsustainable agriculture, land-use shifts, and pollution--disrupt ecosystems and threaten food security.

Grounded in empirical research, particularly from Asia and Africa, it highlights biodiversity's role in sustaining food systems and presents nature-based solutions such as agroecology, land restoration, and the integration of traditional knowledge with scientific innovation.

A valuable resource for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners, this volume takes a systems-based approach to managing trade-offs, fostering synergies, and driving sustainable food and climate strategies.
