[Travel] FIRST UK EDITION. Octavo (23 x 16cm), pp.xvi; 312. Publisher's dark red cloth, gilt titles to spine. Three maps, one folding, and numerous black and white photographic plates. With a later printing of the jacket (same artwork as first), priced at 12/6. Edges toned, some dustiness, no inscriptions, reprint jacket with a few small chips and tape mends to reverse side. Very good. Maillart's account of her journey from Peking to Srinagar in 1935.
