"Futureselves" are the visions that we have for ourselves in the future. This book covers how these visions are central to our understanding of human behaviour, as inherently goal driven. It covers these concepts both scientifically and practically, exploring both impact on behaviour, as well as a guide on how to use Futureselves for self-knowledge and self-improvement. Futureselves brings together a long history of teleological approaches in psychotherapy, and ties the Futureselves concept to contemporary philosophical ideas such as the absence of free will.

The book is suitable for undergraduate and post-graduate studies into the nature of the self, and self-development.
