The 1950 Cosmopolitan Edition of this pocket-size street atlas of Los Angeles County. Fully indexed, it features 122 two-color street maps (most two-panel), a three-color sectional map that extends to four panels, and 4 small zone maps. Includes bus and rail lines, a roster of engineers, and an index to movie, radio and television studios. The original Gillespie's Guide appeared in 1913 and for a time, the company rivaled the renowned Thomas Brothers. Octavo: xii, 106, 244 p. Spiral bound in limp blue buckram with decorative yellow embossing on the front panel. Minor stain to the top corner of about 15 maps, with some occasional mild toning; otherwise very good.
