This catalogue is dedicated to the emergence of the brilliant young artist Georg Ehrenfried Gross – which is Grosz’ birth name. The youthful Gross had a ways to go before changing his name to "George Grosz" and becoming the most popular and sharp-tongued chronicler of the Weimar Republic. With over fifty works from the years 1904 to 1917, all but a few exhibited for the first time ever, the inaugural exhibition of Das kleine Grosz Museum traces the artistic and biographical trajectory of this journey.
