It all began with a peaceful Saturday morning and a boy with nothing to do...

Logan and his father are home one Saturday when Logan realizes he hasn't seen the Garbler recently and asks his father to wake it up. Even though his dad warns him that the Garbler will be hungry and probably grumpy, Logan is sure that it's time.

Sure enough, the Garbler tears through the house with a huge appetite. It will eat up anything Logan's left lying around: toys, blankets, socks, and more. He's got to be quick to gather things before they're lost to the Garbler forever! But as loud and growly as the Garbler is, it may not be as fierce as it seems...

Join Logan and his dad in this fun read-aloud adventure that will have your kids looking at their own clutter in a whole new light. And maybe they, too, will invite the Garbler into their homes to help clean up.

Ivan Brandt is a father of three and witnessed the true story of the Garbler first-hand. He encourages play and imagination to make household chores easier for young ones to tackle and hopes to share that magic with other families in The Garbler, his first book. Always a reader, Ivan only came to writing after taking a poetry class in order to expand his own expression. With the birth of his first child, inspiration struck, and he began recording the stories inspired by his children.

Ivan lives in a small community in Manitoba with his wife and three children.
