6th edition with large additions. 8vo, collated as pp2, ppiv, pp438, pp115 (section on laws), pp9 tables for all four sections, complete with engraved frontis and four fold out engraved plates, plate 1 in poor condition being torn with loss of top and bottom of paper. Hardcover issued without dust jacket. Handsomely rebound with brown calf leather spine with 5 raised bands with gilt titles and blind stamped to compartments in near fine condition with a few very small scratches to leather. Inside all pages a little yellowed and aged with some old sporadic water marks, spots of foxing and a few marks with text still bold and readable. A beautifully rebound copy of this work by Cox, an English bookseller whose Gentleman's Recreation set is a classic on English sporting pursuits.
