Entire issue, February, 1894, in original printed wraps, light general wear, minor chipping at edges, spine mostly chipped away, faults noted in pictures, contents clean and bright. Article is 8-pages, and illustrated with several figure-drawings by Beard after sketches by the author. Mouillard, 1834 - 1897, a French pioneer in the science of gliding flight, was in the early 20th century considered the father of aviation. Wilbur Wright called him one of the greatest missionaries of the flying cause, and Mouillard reportedly inspired later pioneer aviators including Octave Chanute and Otto Lilienthal. His seminal work, L'Empire de l'Air, had been published in France in 1881. Very scarce. N° de réf. du vendeur 022878
