Jorgelina Cerritos is a Salvadoran actress, poet and playwright.
Freek Mariën (1988) is a Belgian playwright and director, and co-artistic leader of the theater company Het Kwartier. He writes for both young audiences and adults, creating plays that combine rigorous language with socially engaged themes and unexpected theatrical forms. His award-winning work includes Waiting and Other Heroic Acts, which received the Toneelschrijfprijs, the most prestigious prize for Dutch-language theatre in Belgium and the Netherlands, and Vergiet and The Wetsuitman, recognized with the Dutch-German Kinder- und Jugenddramatiker*innenpreises. His plays are translated into German, French, English, and Finnish and performed across Europe and the United States.
Gabrielle Chapdelaine is a Montréal-based francophone playwright and screenwriter. Her work includes Une journée (winner of the 2018 Prix Gratien-Gélinas and finalist for the 2023 Prix Marcel-Dubé), The Retreat (nominated for Outstanding New Text at the 2024 Montreal English Theatre Awards), and several collaborations with major Québec theatres. Her plays have been translated into English and German, and produced in Québec, the United States, Germany, and France. A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, she also writes for film and television and takes part in international writing residencies.
As a child, David Paquet would make up stories for his three faithful imaginary friends. That love of storytelling took him to the National Theatre School, where he studied writing. In 2010, audiences discovered his unique voice and dark humour in Porcupine (Governor General's Literary Award, Michel Tremblay Prize). For teenage audiences, he wrote 2 h 14 and Appels entrants illimités, and co-wrote Les grands-mères mortes, presented at the NAC in 2015. That same year he ventured onto the stage with his poetic solo show, Papiers mâchés. Histoires à plumes et à poils is his first play for children.
