Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Some cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding slightly loose. First published in 1940, an interesting account of Lawrence by one of his few close women friends - the wife of his CO at RAF Mount Batten. Including photographs of Lawrence and Clare Sydney Smith in 'Biscuit', the speedboat used for trips up the Tamar and around Plymouth harbour, several of which are published here for the first time.
