À propos de l'auteur: Burton H. Throckmorton, Jr. is Hayes Professor of New Testament Language and Literature, Emeritus, at Bangor Theological Seminary, Bangor, Maine. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his B.D. from Union Theological Seminary in New York. He studied at the University of Marburg in Germany and earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and in the United Church of Christ. Professor Throckmorton is a member of the Inclusive Language Lectionary Committee and is the author of numerous articles in the field of New Testament studies.
