In the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy, one man's transformative journey from grief to empowerment offers all of us a beacon of hope.

When Tom Etzel lost two loved ones on that fateful day in New York—including his beloved niece—he could have succumbed to despair. But instead of retribution, Etzel chose peace.

Awakened by a passionate spiritual calling, the author channeled his grief into action and personal growth. He put his compassion and leadership skills to good use, inspiring other survivors of trauma and working to change the lives of children and youth all over the world.

Within Our Grasp is more than just one man's story—it's a call to action. The author’s life-changing journey to global peace building work—culminating in founding a non-profit organization that works toward positive change in the world—is a testament to the profound impact of positive action and the enduring power of hope.

This memoir about grief, bereavement, and healing from loss is an uplifting narrative and a poignant reminder that even in our darkest moments, the seeds of change and renewal lie within us all.
