From the preface: "This exhibition is a study of a movement which had its official beginnings fifty years ago when seven artists exhibited together as the Group of Seven at the Art Gallery of Toronto. The origins of that movement date, however, from an earlier time when these artists had worked and painted with another artist who has continued to be identified with the Group although he died three years before it was founded; this was, of course, Tom Thomson." Fitzgerald, and Edwin Holgate. N° de réf. du libraire 19559
