A propos de cet article

The National Gallery of Canada: 1971. 124 leaves, well illustrated, wrappers, oblong, 12 by 10 inches, slight wear to covers otherwise very good. Preface by Jean Sutherland Boggs. Text in English & French. From the preface: "This exhibition is a study of a movement which had its official beginnings fifty years ago when seven artists exhibited together as the Group of Seven at the Art Gallery of Toronto. The origins of that movement date, however, from an earlier time when these artists had worked and painted with another artist who has continued to be identified with the Group although he died three years before it was founded; this was, of course, Tom Thomson." Includes the artworks' exhibition history, notes and bibliography. Tom Thomson, Franklin Carmichael, Lawren Harris, A.Y. Jackson, Arthur Lismer, J.E.H. Macdonald, Frederick Varley, A.J. Casson, L.L. Fitzgerald, and Edwin Holgate. N° de réf. du libraire 19559
