3-11/16" x 5-3/4", 180pp incl. prelims + 4pp publisher's advertising. Printed on alkaline paper and bound in sewn signatures in green leather boards with yellow end papers. Book is professionally bound, with embossed pattern on front and back panel and gilt titling and design on spine. Minor edge wear, shelf wear / age discoloration to cover. Yellow edge tinting all around now now age darkened / discolored. Binding is square and tight. Gift inscription on blank half title page now considerably faded. Pages are otherwise clean and bright and unmarked.

Canada's oldest independent bookstore, the People's Co-operative Bookstore Association was formed in 1945 by a broad coalition of Vancouver's progressive movements, from trade unionists and Marxists to social democrats and Christian social justice activists. Owned and operated by its member-shareholders, it is a registered co-op operating under the Co-operative Associations Act of British Columbia. Anyone can join. Since 1983, the People's Co-op Bookstore has been located at 1391 Commercial, in the heart of Commercial Drive.
