A propos de cet article

Quarto, paper covers bound with a plastic report-binder spine, 21 pp. Central Synagogue was created in 1898 as a result of the merger of two older Congregations, Shaar Hashomayim, founded in 1839, and Ahawath Chesed, established in 1846. Several other smaller congregations were also absorbed after this merger. Thus, the combined archives are a vital source for New York City Congregation history.
