Paperback. Harmony in the Hive presents a compelling and practical vision for the revitalization of Freemasonry through careful attention to: Industry and Cooperation-How the beehive symbolizes the Masonic virtues of hard work, unity, and collective wisdom.Masonic Education-The necessity of intellectual engagement to prevent Freemasonry from becoming merely a social club.Spiritual and Esoteric Depth-Exploring the deeper meanings of Masonic symbols to enrich the spiritual journey of its members.Harmony and Renewal-Practical strategies for Lodges to foster harmony, heal internal discord, and inspire a new generation of Masons.Nathan St. Pierre calls for a return to the days when Freemasonry cultivated the mind and spirit, where the quest for knowledge was as much a part of the Craft as the rituals themselves. This book is an essential read for anyone seeking to understand the past, engage with the present, and shape the future of Freemasonry, ensuring it remains a vibrant force for personal and communal improvement. Reviews Nathan St. Pierre has written a small book that can have a large impact on the future of Freemasonry. Using the beehive as a metaphor for the organizational structure of a lodge, he then takes the reader through a sweeping overview of the historical antecedents which have defined for us the important differences in operative and speculative Masonry. .The author outlines the fundamental reasons for the persistent decline in American Freemasonry and then offers the reader a comprehensive list of ideas and practices specifically aimed at the interests of today's men which can lead to the restoration and renewal of the lodge. This is a book worth reading.-Robert G. Davis, Past Grand Master of Oklahoma, author of The Mason's Words and Understanding Manhood in America: Freemasonry's Enduring Path to the Mature Masculine Every Freemason is taught that Freemasonry has two sides: Operative/Practical and Speculative/Esoteric. When asked about the Fraternity, we are quick to respond on the Practical side naming the good work we do. But we often fail to understand that the Practical side is merely carrying out what we are taught on the Esoteric side. Recognizing this lack of understanding, Nathan St. Pierre has written a book which carefully traces the connection between the two sides and how they complement each other. He outlines ways in which lodges can begin programs of understanding Masonic history and why the ideas of the originators of the Fraternity are so important today. I highly recommend this book to all Freemasons and strongly suggest every lodge obtain copies to be given to new members!-Richard E. Fletcher, Past Grand Master of Vermont, former Executive Secretary of the Masonic Service Association of North America Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
