A propos de cet article

In the Heart of the Sierras. The Yo Semite Valley, both Historical and Descriptive: And Scenes by the Way. By James Mason Hutchings and printed in Oakland, California by the Pacific Press Publishing House. 1886, 496 pp, 9 x 6.5, 8vo, hardcover decorative green cloth. Overall very good, with minor rubbing and wear to boards and spine, primarily along edges and corners. Hinges remain in good condition with minimal wear to front. Small wear and light tear to foldout map. Beautifully illustrated throughout with a variety of black-and-white photographs and sketches. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and attractive copy of early exploration to the Yosemite Valley in California.
