Gwendolyn ‘Dylan’ Dwyer is your typical high school student, except she‘s 24 and her life has ended. Or as she is quickly learning, it’s just beginning. After a brief stint in her own personal heaven, which looks just like those boxed Christmas card sets her mom used to own, she’s sent back down to earth. This time as 18-year-old Abigail Henderson with the extraordinary purpose of stopping a shooting at Margaret Fielder High. While falling in love with a teacher who has a shared love of cheese fries, Abigail is quickly learning that she’s been given what seems like an impossible task. With three months to figure out who is behind the shooting and how to stop it, she is faced with some hard lessons. What does it take to rewrite history and what happens when the truth of who is behind it all shocks you to your very core? ‘If Heaven Had Cheese Fries’ teaches us that when we’re on the outside looking in, we all know what we would have done differently. But what actually happens when you’re given an opportunity, like Abigail, to change it all? The ending, or is it just the beginning, will surprise you.
