634 pages with a advertisement addendum on the final page, this copy was once owned by the Archdeacon of Salop & incumbent Bishop of Litchfield, "John Chappel Woodhouse", [1749-1833] his signature seen along the top of the title page, a little cropped. In a modern plain slightly amateur full tan crushed calf, new endpapers, front endpaper creased, a number of the small woodcut emblematic shields have been coloured in, neatly, but later, one page has a closed tear from outer edge in about an inch, no loss, there are several pages with marginal notes and revised or updated amendments in a contemporary 17th century handwriting style, main title a little age toned and with browning at the edges, contents all tight and clean to see and handle. 12mo size. 1680. *John Chappel Woodhouse was an English Anglican priest who was Archdeacon of Salop from 17 October 1798 until 24 December 1821 and Dean of Litchfield from 1807 until his death.
